The ASD Population

US Autistic Population Is Over 6 Million

There are over 6 million people on the spectrum living in the US, making the autistic community a major demographic within itself.

79% Report Loneliness

Individuals with autism are four times more likely to experience loneliness compared to the neurotypical population, and a staggering 79% of autistic individuals report feelings of social isolation.

85% Unemployment

Research indicates that 85% of autistic adults are either unemployed or do not have access to adequate employment opportunities, and almost half of 25-year-olds with autism have never held a paid job.

50% Low-Income Households

Approximately 50% of individuals with autism reside in low-income households where their parents, often serving as caregivers, provide support.

Work As Therapy

Research indicates that engaging in job activities that promote independence can lead to a reduction in autism symptoms and an improvement in daily living skills.

Our Coaches

Dedicated Social Coaches

Every Club Session is supported by a team of two dedicated Social Club Coaches who collaborate to plan and organize the agenda for each session. These Coaches are the backbone of our program, and they are wholeheartedly dedicated to delivering exceptional social experiences to every club member. They not only facilitate each Club Session but also remain accessible throughout the week to assist and engage with the members under their care. Additionally, our coaches make an effort to connect with each club member through one-on-one calls at least once or twice a week to provide encouragement and support.

GET CONNECTED

Social Disconnection

Social disconnection stands out as a distinctive symptom of autism, posing a significant hurdle for individuals in forming personal connections akin to those of neurotypical individuals. Social engagement and interactions hold a crucial role in maintaining mental well-being. Surveys reveal that the primary concerns of autistic adults are not centered around their 'condition' or 'diagnoses' of autism; rather, they are primarily troubled by symptoms of loneliness and feelings of social isolation. This unsettling reality aligns with the concerning fact that autistic individuals experience mental health challenges at rates 5 to 20 times higher than the general population, including conditions such as anxiety and depression.

Get Connected

We currently inhabit an era marked by unprecedented connectivity, particularly in a country that leads in the realm of media and communication technologies. With the ease of access to social media, virtual communication, and streamlined work-from-home capabilities, interaction has become almost effortless. Experience Social harnesses these technological advancements and available resources to create and manage social and work programs that actively involve the autistic community in enjoyable and health-promoting social experiences.
